Kijani Africa is a Tanzanian NGO founded in 2013, focused on conserving ecosystems and biodiversity by working closely with local and indigenous communities. It aims to promote a sustainable balance between people and nature through restoration efforts and community empowerment.

Our mission is to create harmony between humans and nature through enhanced ecosystem and biodiversity conservation in collaboration with indigenous communities

We envision a future where indigenous communities are empowered to restore and protect their environment, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for generations to come.

core activities

WE MAINLY FOCUS ON

01. Tree Planting and Forest Restoration

We engage in large-scale tree planting and forest restoration projects to combat deforestation and promote biodiversity.

02. Community Partnerships

 Collaborating with local communities, we provide education and resources to support sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship.

03. WASTE Management

We promote sustainable waste management practices through circular economy principles.We run two BSF facilities in Arusha & Kigoma regions upcycling over 400 tons of organic waste each per month

04. Environmental Education

We conduct workshops and training sessions to raise awareness about the importance of ecosystem and biodiversity conservation.
